Online clothing shop (@explore._.explode)

@explore._.explode was an online shop I founded and managed during my college years, covering styling, content creation, and overall shop operations. The project was inspired by my year of Cultural Studies studies and my critical observations of Hong Kong’s online fashion market, where representation was often limited to very thin models.

The shop aimed to challenge these norms by showcasing fashion on a broader range of body types and demonstrating that style is not restricted to a single standard of appearance.

Product images were deliberately styled with the model’s face covered by a mask, emphasising clothing and styling choices rather than personal identity. This approach shifted the focus back to the garments—their pairing, fit, and presentation—while aligning with the shop’s mission of inclusivity and representation.

Through this initiative, the project contributed to greater visibility of diverse body types within Hong Kong’s online fashion culture, while also developing practical expertise in brand development, styling, e-commerce management, and content creation.
